Plan my trek

Founder, Get Lost Forever
Grew up in Solukhumbu, the district in eastern Nepal that is home to Mount Everest. Now based in London, writing practical, honest guides to Nepal for travellers from around the world.
I grew up in Solukhumbu, in the hills below the Everest region, and I have always felt that Nepal is much more than the one mountain most people know it for. It is its villages, festivals, food and the everyday kindness of people you meet on the trail.
I started Get Lost Forever to help travellers experience Nepal the way locals know it, and to answer the questions that matter before you book: how hard a trek really is, what it costs, what permits you need, when to go and how to respect the places you visit.
My own favourite walks are the quieter ones. I've made the pilgrimage climb to Pathibhara Devi temple in Taplejung, walked the ridges around Nagarkot above the Kathmandu Valley, and hiked up through the snow at Kalinchowk in Dolakha. I've also flown tandem paragliding over Phewa Lake in Pokhara and spent time in Chitwan.

Permit fees, rules and entry requirements are checked against official sources such as Nepal's Department of Immigration, the Nepal Tourism Board, national park and conservation area offices, and the UK FCDO.
For high-altitude routes like Everest, Annapurna and Manaslu, I work with licensed Nepali guides and registered trekking agencies who walk these trails every season.
Every guide says who a trip suits and who it doesn't, and is clear about costs, difficulty and risks rather than making everywhere sound perfect.
Things change quickly in Nepal, from trail conditions to fees. Guides show when they were last updated, and anything we couldn't confirm is flagged on the page.
